![]() But overall this wears all day, blends in seamlessly and looks great when powdered for a long time. With a brush it can get a little bit streaky. This is best applied with a sponge though. It perhaps has fuller coverage than I prefer but this still blends in easily and because it is more of a buildable formula, I feel this still looks natural on the skin. So despite the claim, I feel this is a concealer that hits a lot of points for me. The infamous Pro Longwear has always seemed a bit too heavy for my liking no matter how many people rave about it. Before this I had only really tried was one that came in a Paint Pot like jar that I used before I ever wore foundation. It feels very hydrating to the touch and blends out easily. ![]() The reason I bought this? I really liked the texture when I tested it in store. Apart from the medium to full coverage claim, this sounds like a concealer I might light. It should not look cakey, be quite hydrating and stay put for 24 hours. The MAC Studio Fix concealer is one that is supposed to be lightweight, but with medium to full buildable coverage. They don’t always do super exciting things anymore I feel, but there are a few staples I still go back to. I mainly have a soft spot for MAC as it was one of the first high end brands I tried. MAC is of course known for not being a cruelty free brand, but I leave that choice up to you as a reader whether you find that a factor that influences your makeup buying. At €24 a pop this isn’t a super expensive concealer, but it certainly fits more so in the high end price bracket. I bought mine in store, but MAC is quite widely available so I don’t think you’d have any problems getting a hold of if you were interested in this. And now that I have, the only thing I can say is: why didn’t I try this sooner? Because this is good! Review: MAC Studio Fix 24 HR Smooth Wear concealer in NW15 So it was high time that I put this in a shop my stash and test it out. This has been sitting in a drawer for more than 2 years without it being used. Not the review (this happens a lot to me that I could review the product, but I just don’t end up writing about it), but the actual product. It is one of those that just got lost in the shuffle. Why? Because I have owned this concealer for years but just never really used it. Click here for the review of the Select Cover Up Concealer by MAC.I introduced this product in my Shop My Stash as the ‘shame of my makeup collection’. It retails for $21.00/19.20€ for 9 ml of product (or 0.30 US fl oz) and it’s a permanent product, available online on MAC’s website and in all MAC stores and corners. I’m really not into the glass bottle, because it’s very fragile and a bit “dangerous” to put it in the bag and the pump releases way too much product for what I and most people need. I think that, if well applied, it can perform as a camouflage concealer and still result natural on the skin. Since it’s longwearing, it may tend to dry the skin, especially on the dry skins (use a good moisturizing cream or some kind of oil and a primer), but on me works fine and doesn’t crease (i immediately set it with powder) or smudge. It’s even recommended as an eyeshadow base too and sometimes, instead of using a foundation, I mix it with a moisturizer and I apply it all over the face with a wet Miracle Complexion Sponge to even out my skin and looks very natural. If you apply it light handed, it can even provide a medium natural coverage. It’s part of the Back to Mac program too! What I love about this product is that it’s very versatile, longlasting/waterproof, full coverage and a little bit goes a long way. NC 20 It’s definitely warmer and love it too.NC 15 Tends to be a tiny bit more neutral, almost cooler, but it looks very good on me. When I’m at my “palest” or when I want a very bright and fresh undereye area I go for NC15, when I’m tan I go for my NC20. I’m in between NC15 and NC20 and I usually mix them. It’s described as a “ fluid concealer that provides medium to full matte coverage for up to 15 hours” with a “ liquid camouflage-like formula that brightens dark areas, erases spots and evens skin tone”. I got it some months ago, because I was looking for a very high coverage concealer that I could use sheered out on a wet sponge or full on with a camouflage effect on areas “in need”, leaving the rest of the face fresher and with a lightweight base. The MAC’s Pro Longwear Concealer is probably one of the brand’s most famous products.
