Moleskine, which is well-known for its durable notebooks and journals, has a series of journals themed after several cities, as well as a generic travel journal. You don’t want a travel journal that is so thick that it’s too heavy to lug around with you, but make sure there are enough pages to cover the length of your journey. If you’re embarking on a long-term trip, get a travel journal that is durable and has plenty of pages. To further weatherproof your field notes, use a #2 pencil or Rite in the Rain pen, as the typical ball point pen will bleed if it gets wet. The spiral binding is also pretty durable and won’t bend when smooshed in a backpack or pocket. The pages won’t deteriorate if they get wet, and neither will the cover. Rite in the Rain makes notebooks that are portable and weatherproof. Believe it or not, weatherproof notebooks are a thing! While you might not care to journal about your day, perhaps you’ll want to take notes while out on a hike, birdwatching, backcountry camping, and so on. The ESV is an "essentially literal" translation that seeks as far as possible to capture the precise wording of the original text and the personal style of each Bible writer. But throughout, our goal has been to retain the depth of meaning and enduring language that have made their indelible mark on the English-speaking world and have defined the life and doctrine of the church over the last four centuries. Archaic language has been brought to current usage and significant corrections have been made in the translation of key texts. The words and phrases themselves grow out of the Tyndale-King James legacy, and most recently out of the RSV, with the 1971 RSV text providing the starting point for our work. To this end each word and phrase in the ESV has been carefully weighed against the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, to ensure the fullest accuracy and clarity and to avoid under-translating or overlooking any nuance of the original text. With a brush it can get a little bit streaky. This is best applied with a sponge though. It perhaps has fuller coverage than I prefer but this still blends in easily and because it is more of a buildable formula, I feel this still looks natural on the skin. So despite the claim, I feel this is a concealer that hits a lot of points for me. The infamous Pro Longwear has always seemed a bit too heavy for my liking no matter how many people rave about it. Before this I had only really tried was one that came in a Paint Pot like jar that I used before I ever wore foundation. It feels very hydrating to the touch and blends out easily. ![]() The reason I bought this? I really liked the texture when I tested it in store. Apart from the medium to full coverage claim, this sounds like a concealer I might light. It should not look cakey, be quite hydrating and stay put for 24 hours. The MAC Studio Fix concealer is one that is supposed to be lightweight, but with medium to full buildable coverage. They don’t always do super exciting things anymore I feel, but there are a few staples I still go back to. I mainly have a soft spot for MAC as it was one of the first high end brands I tried. MAC is of course known for not being a cruelty free brand, but I leave that choice up to you as a reader whether you find that a factor that influences your makeup buying. At €24 a pop this isn’t a super expensive concealer, but it certainly fits more so in the high end price bracket. I bought mine in store, but MAC is quite widely available so I don’t think you’d have any problems getting a hold of if you were interested in this. And now that I have, the only thing I can say is: why didn’t I try this sooner? Because this is good! Review: MAC Studio Fix 24 HR Smooth Wear concealer in NW15 So it was high time that I put this in a shop my stash and test it out. This has been sitting in a drawer for more than 2 years without it being used. Not the review (this happens a lot to me that I could review the product, but I just don’t end up writing about it), but the actual product. It is one of those that just got lost in the shuffle. Why? Because I have owned this concealer for years but just never really used it. Click here for the review of the Select Cover Up Concealer by MAC.I introduced this product in my Shop My Stash as the ‘shame of my makeup collection’. It retails for $21.00/19.20€ for 9 ml of product (or 0.30 US fl oz) and it’s a permanent product, available online on MAC’s website and in all MAC stores and corners. I’m really not into the glass bottle, because it’s very fragile and a bit “dangerous” to put it in the bag and the pump releases way too much product for what I and most people need. I think that, if well applied, it can perform as a camouflage concealer and still result natural on the skin. Since it’s longwearing, it may tend to dry the skin, especially on the dry skins (use a good moisturizing cream or some kind of oil and a primer), but on me works fine and doesn’t crease (i immediately set it with powder) or smudge. It’s even recommended as an eyeshadow base too and sometimes, instead of using a foundation, I mix it with a moisturizer and I apply it all over the face with a wet Miracle Complexion Sponge to even out my skin and looks very natural. If you apply it light handed, it can even provide a medium natural coverage. It’s part of the Back to Mac program too! What I love about this product is that it’s very versatile, longlasting/waterproof, full coverage and a little bit goes a long way. NC 20 It’s definitely warmer and love it too.NC 15 Tends to be a tiny bit more neutral, almost cooler, but it looks very good on me. When I’m at my “palest” or when I want a very bright and fresh undereye area I go for NC15, when I’m tan I go for my NC20. I’m in between NC15 and NC20 and I usually mix them. It’s described as a “ fluid concealer that provides medium to full matte coverage for up to 15 hours” with a “ liquid camouflage-like formula that brightens dark areas, erases spots and evens skin tone”. I got it some months ago, because I was looking for a very high coverage concealer that I could use sheered out on a wet sponge or full on with a camouflage effect on areas “in need”, leaving the rest of the face fresher and with a lightweight base. The MAC’s Pro Longwear Concealer is probably one of the brand’s most famous products. This series is nothing if not extremely clever, but there's always a fear that creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon will run out of ways to top themselves and keep pushing the envelope. Rick's wacky behavior was the source of a steady stream of wacky, high-concept sci-fi storytelling. Literally, in the case of "Rest and Ricklaxation." From transforming himself into a talking pickle to waging all-out war on the President of the United States, Rick was never shy about seizing on whatever crazy scheme came to mind. What we saw over the course of the next nine episodes was Rick's dark side coming to the forefront. With Jerry mostly out of the picture and Beth ever more eager to please her perpetually absentee father, Rick's id lost whatever fragile safeguards were keeping it in check. Thus, the stage was set for a very different status quo in Season 3. Far from establishing that Rick had finally learned to put the needs of his family over his own selfish desires, the premiere saw Rick become even more unhinged and double-down on his arrogant, self-destructive behavior. "The Rickshank Redemption" managed to be depressing in a completely different way. The series was coming off one of best and most emotionally charged episodes in "The Wedding Squanchers." That episode ended on a hugely depressing note, with Rick making the ultimate sacrifice for his family, turning himself into the Federation to spare the rest of the Smith clan from a lifetime of exile on an undersized, empty world. His fondness for a dumber version of Rick suggests Jerry would get on with his father-in-law if it wasn't for his exceptional intelligence. One of the exceptions is Episode 5 of Season 3, "The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy," in which Rick takes Jerry on a pity adventure. Rick and Jerry are perhaps the two characters who like each other the least and, although they're often at odds, they are rarely together for an entire episode.
